It wasn’t overt, just some small details like a swarthy immigrant pairing up with the high status white girl, the fact the characters weren’t very sexually dimorphic (in personality or appearance), and the intellectual aspects of the series made it a left wing coded series. Most people who are not politicsbrained wouldn’t notice it.
i watched this show and greatly enjoyed it. i remember someone telling me it was spiritually kinda like death note; which i would agree with. i was also told to watch some actual mecha before evangelion. anyway, my point is i had a dream i was in a romantic relationship with the character c2 and now i have a subconscious obsession with her
its crazy they made a whole show just to advertize pizza hut. Jokes aside, code geass is very good, i like the 2000s anime look it has to it-theyre all skinny and tall lol- and the school parts were also funny especially the episode where he rizzed up 108 girls (fakecel 💔). Also i know you like mecha, and i never really watch it but have u watched any other mecha besides this , nge , a̶n̶d̶ a̶o̶t̶?
ATLA is also one of the highest rated cartoons/animes. Code Geass is made for 14 year olds. Seeing as the writing in Code Geass is terrible and half the show is fanservice and Pizza Hut ads, no I hadn't considered that.
"We’re not talking about the Table scene, but I’ll mention that Nina is an extremely annoying and troublesome character that barely gets a redemption."
Ok I'm not gonna read it then. But I tried watching anime 3 times in my life:
1) Death Note was great because the protagonist actually wanted to kill;
2) Evangelion - couldn't stomach as it's so utterly boring and dull, nothing was happening;
3) Ghost in the Shell - the beginning was so atrociously cheesy that I couldn't keep watching;
4) Berserk - the very first scene is feminist simping.
Anime seems insanely dull aside from Death Note, maybe I didn't focus on the good ones, but there are so many... Apologies if this is off topic, but that's my experience anyway. I don't watch movies overall, it's difficult.
If you liked death note you might like Code Geass. I liked Evangelion and wrote a long review of it on here, but I don't have much interest in berserk. Why does the MC get assraped by a big black guy? What is the point of including that in the story? Not a big "seinen" guy. Usually they have a somewhat lefty or subversive element. Casca is far too brown for an Italian, I feel like the author must have been making some sort of italophobic statement there.
For note, Berserk opens up with the MC stopping a male-on-female rape, that is so normie that I couldn't stomach it. For comparison, in Death Note, the protagonist with whom we're supposed to sympathise (right... right?) kills a female in cold blood, that tickles my incel sensibilities.
While the latter half of Death Note was clearly nonsensical and padding the show's episode count, the part where Light turns himself into an unwitting (!) instrument of his own plan seemed profound. Effectively becoming a cog in a machine... of one's own making? Similar to Morgoth's Ring?
Regarding Evangelion - I feel like I've been spoiled by the more modern media (see Pelevin) because in episode 1 I was expecting Shinji _not_ to get into the meka, showing some balls (or in this case, pussy?). Tasteful subversion and information density.
Never mind, I misread the comment. If you liked Death Note you will almost certainly like Code Geass too, unless you are super averse to fanservice or silly plot twists.
It depends on what other shows you like tbh. Vinland Saga, I do not like, but I have never watched/read it. It just seems kind of pozzed and not really what I would ever look for in a Viking story. The main character is a pacifist but not in any historically realistic way like his inspiration (Olaf Tryggvason, who became a pacifist after converting to Christianity) and there is some weird vaguely pro-trans stuff in it
>Instead of being a pozzed show that to any normal eye is not pozzed, it is actually an extremely apolitical show hiding behind a mask of politics.
I couldn't agree more and wish that I stated this in my review of Code Geass.
Unrelated, but in your review of Ergo, what were the LW/pozzed vibes you mention? I didnt really noticed them.

Vincent is not swarthy, at least not in his Proxy form. Regarding the rest, idk. Camus & existentialism is sorta LW-coded, Nietzsche not so much.

How do you know C2 didn't actually come to you in a dream, using the power of Gi-yas?
this never occurred to me. do you think it maybe has something to do with my recurring vampire dreams?
I plan on writing a ‘stack in vampires in the future
i fucking hate vampires. if they were real (they are btw) i would definitely be vampire hunter

Martians will look like this. And yes I thought that was good episode where the girls were trying to get Lulu.
I have watched almost no other mecha but decided to omit that part for Opsec and whatnot
There is a reason why I chose my pfp.
For some reason I always thought that was Joker from Persona
Nah, it's my boy Lelouch!
Unironically peak anime if you want plenty of fanservice with your story. The fanservice actually works imo due to the Baroque style the show has.
also important to note. the "indian" is voiced by the serana va...
HQly shQt...
Other than a few writing hiccups, great show
No one is mentioning the music. The orchestral music. Great music.
Yes, super good soundtrack
I didn't finish it because I agreed with the Brits and turned it off imagining that they won.
Keep watching. They kind of win in the end.
Hates ATLA likes Code Garbage, you just have shit taste man. You've written two essays about how you bad your taste is, kind of impressive.
ATLA: Cartoon for 10 year olds, a peg above MLP. (for the record, I do not hate it)
Code Geass: One of the highest rated Anime of all time
Have you ever thought that, maybe, you have bad taste and not everyone else?
ATLA is also one of the highest rated cartoons/animes. Code Geass is made for 14 year olds. Seeing as the writing in Code Geass is terrible and half the show is fanservice and Pizza Hut ads, no I hadn't considered that.
1. Avatar is not an Anime
2. 14 year olds have good taste
1. More points in it's favor
2. Clearly not
1. Touché
2. Name a good anime not meant for 14 year olds
In this Corner of the World, and Death Note.
Why do nonWeebs even bother watching Anime.
Clever, manipulative anti-hero protagonist. I loved this series.
"We’re not talking about the Table scene, but I’ll mention that Nina is an extremely annoying and troublesome character that barely gets a redemption."
Nina did nothing wrong.

If you didn't like those four, then I don't think you will like any.
Never mind, I misread the comment. If you liked Death Note you will almost certainly like Code Geass too, unless you are super averse to fanservice or silly plot twists.
Actually curious about this. Sadly i cannot read it rn
didn't read, didn't look at comments, is the show worthwhile? Also, thoughts on the Vinland Saga?
It depends on what other shows you like tbh. Vinland Saga, I do not like, but I have never watched/read it. It just seems kind of pozzed and not really what I would ever look for in a Viking story. Do you think the name of this show is related to the Gaelic concept of geasa?
Apparently it is, I just looked it up. Interesting! The show references Celtic mythology a lot, mainly Arthurian stuff.
based, ill check it oot
Code Geass is garbage, blud is just yapping.
