the thing about less pregnant woman around is becoming more insane to me as time goes on because my area will be full of boomers but the one time i went to Utah (state with the highest or 2nd highest TFR i believe) i saw a LOT more young people. I was even wondering recently if the Mormons were gonna replace us if the browns are put out of the equation but it seems even their birthrates are possibly plummeting too or so ive heard.

It’s alarming. I’m from Hungary…originally from the far eastern part where the TFR is the highest. Well…you can’t speak officially that the gipsies were the ones responsible for that, and their share of the population is steadily growing, but…lately their TFR is collapsing too. You still have the horror stories about families living from government handouts with 7-8 children, but that’s the “old guard” and they are out of the production.
For example, I had one gipsy girl classmate, who way actually pretty smart even among the hungarians. Obviously she didn’t finish middle school because she got pregnant. Now we’re 30 and…she only has one, that one. This was unimaginable in the past…something really broke if even they don’t do it anymore.
The reason adults are playing Roblox more is two fold. Firstly, low iq gays and women enjoy dressing their characters up in increasingly disturbed and elaborately grotesque caricatures of fashion models in what I hope to all heavens is an ironic game of dress up and fashion shows. Secondly, the video game industry as a whole has been on the decline for over a decade, repeatedly failing to produce multiplayer experiences of substance, leaving platforms like Roblox and fortnight to pick up the slack with their user generated content that is simply more enjoyable to the adult male audience.
Popular entertainment has always been very kid and teen centric. At a certain age you realize nothing caters to you anymore. At that point you either do the legwork to find more fulfilling hobbies, pursue media thats more academic, challenging and niche or simply do the option of least resistance and just settle on enjoying the same things you liked as a younger self.
I don't think there's something inherently wrong on either choice, the thing is for an adult the suposition is that you sre already being challenged enough on your career and real life responsabilites to where entertainment takes a backseat, most people in my parents and grandparents gen werent consuming 2deep4u stuff in their free time but the balance is really out of whack for current generations. The 9 hour video analisis on why One Piece explains the meaning of life or why Sonic the hedgehog is existentialist are the kind of simptoms of adults with no life purpose, entertainment has engulfed all your life at this point.
To be fair it's okay to play the fun bing bing wahoo mario game at times or watch a classic spingebill episode when you're bored enough, but soyllenials don't consoom more mature media or have actual hobbies so it becomes childish
I do remember from my childhood how much stupid fun shit we did at weddings(yes...great weddings, with a lot of people, a lot also there found there future partners/wives/husbands) and there was a lot of children. There are not that many weddings anymore too. The last one I was at, I barely seen anyone younger than 14...even if there would have been some, you had the stupid excuses from some parents..."oh, they don't want to come" or "they're too little for this". Bitch...I was 5 at the first one I remember and you're a parent who is already raising socially maladjusted humans.
The world has also became very hostile to little children. There's constant fearmongering about abductions and perverts...wait...there's actually something there too. As there are no men's places left, there are no childrens, boys/girls places left too. They were invaded by these manchildren and we all know that you would never let your kid hang out with some of them. They're not really the "cool" older boys from your neighbourhood whom you looked up too. Let's not go into public education here...there's a lot of issues there too and they're getting less and less unsupervised time...just figuring out the situation(like you will have to do in your adult life). It is almost the only thing going for it and they are taking that away too.
All this leads to an overwhelming number of manchildren. You hear all this bitching about "traumas" and anxieties...you never learned to let it go? At second grade in elementary school we almost literally had something like a fight club. Two kids got concussion before we got found out. And there was no hard feelings whatsoever.(There are obviously people who have REAL traumas and hurt but they are never the ones bitching about that someone called him/her something).
I was a manchildren too...I guess somewhat still am. Adulting can be really a mundane task. I guess I can't really commit until I have a family of my own. But it's really hard to deal with this "charmed" type. There's almost nothing one can do to influence them.
Or maybe there is...Emplemon just put out a video about Jar Jar Binks being the key. Like how most people were mad because it showed their beloved IP as stupid and annoying. And it is. It's stupid to live in a fantasy when you can live a life. You can still look fondly back at whatever stupid shit you have, but grow up. Let the actual kids have their fun.
Also it is true that modern life is truly vapid, commercialised beyond recognition and the overprotective system denies you any chance to experience anything real. Hell, some of the shit I pulled might actually land me in jail.
The birth rates thing is of great interest to me, and I have some thoughts about how we view childbirth.
Nowadays pregnant women all have baby showers to commemorate the imminent birth of their child. These started out as small gatherings between a few women to give the expecting mother gifts that would help with the child: diapers, baby formula, blankets, etc. Then, a few years ago, they turned into big parties for all the women that she might happen to know. But at least the men didn’t have to go. Now they’re making men to go baby showers, the husbands and boyfriends of the women who were already going, and they’re basically only going because of pressure and the promise that the woman will put out for them once they go home. The parties are big now and have themes and decorations. The next step is inviting everyone you know to baby showers; I’m sure that within 3 years I’ll have to start going to my cousins’ baby showers.
I think there are two reasons for the increasing grandeur of these celebrations. The first is because women just want more and more reasons to celebrate themselves and be the center of attention. But I think the second is that childbirths are becoming so rare that people celebrate even a single one like an incredible, noteworthy event.
Of all my cousins, who are all older than me, only two of the women are married and only one man is. The one married man is rich, athletic, handsome, and still couldn’t get married before the age of 30 without using dating apps. All my other male cousins are coming in 30 and will be single by that time as well. They’re still Millennials who had some semblance of normal dating back when they were teenagers, so I can’t help but wonder how bad it will get for Gen Z men. I suspect it’ll follow the 80/20 rule, and it’ll stabilize at around 80% of men being single, by choice or by compulsion.
